Wow. Every night I'm up very late, to the point where there are only crap infomercials on TV. Let me repeat that. These Infomercials are CRAP. They are scams- fraud even. A little bit of research goes a long way. Take this guy: Klee Irwin (yeah that's his name) is selling Dual Action Cleanse right now at 4.15 AM on channel 7. It's a two-bottle system, meant to cleanse the colon of toxins and bacteria. It's all natural- and as the required FDA disclaimers flash across the screen- Klee (yes, Klee) claims that a caller probably has ten to FIFTEEN POUNDS of toxins and other assorted crap sitting around in his colon.
Excuse me?!
Now he mentions that his program has been praised by a Dr. Bernard Jensen Ph.D. Alright- I call his bluff and google this Dr. Jensen (see my sources at the bottom)- and he (surprise!) turns out to be an iridologist- see the link. So one quack promotes another? Sounds about right. This stuff is weird, really weird. Klee Irwin seems to make a pretty good living telling people that their bowel movements are not as large as they should be (yeah, he talked about this bizarre stuff). Go figure.
